The question that I have chosen to do my photography project on is the 'Aspect of Landscapes' the reason I chose this topic was because my first personal project was all based in the studio where as this project will allow me to vary my locations to produce different aspects of landscapes. The Locations that I have chosen when planning my individual shoots in my main mind map are:
Town park,
London,
Bournemouth,
Nottingham,
Large fields and ponds,
Grave yard
Graffiti walls.
Those locations will allow my journey of this unit to be seen very clear as I have planned each shoot to influence each other so that my ideas have a connection to them. To begin with my starting point will be showing the aspect of scale in landscapes this is because I feel that this is a clear starting point which can have several connections to it. Furthermore by starting with the aspect of scale in landscapes will also allow me to experiment with multiple imagery and selective colour to see if there is any specific small parts of aspects that I want to focus on in other shoots.
In my photography work I am going to incorprate a few of the other photography topic questions as I can see how connections can be made. The topics that I will incorporate are multiple imagery and document of colour. These topics I have already done small mind maps for to get an idea of how I can link these with my main project aspects of landscapes. The idea of multiple imagery will be used in the editing stage of my project this is because the majority of my photography shoots will be presented in this format. This is because from learning the technique at the start of A2 I have really likes the way the final outcome of photographs look with this format. I also feel that it fits in very well with aspects of landscapes as it allows different areas or features of landscapes to be presented in one photograph showing the creativity of my work. Furthermore the document of colours will also connect very well with my project aspects of landscape this is because I can enhance colours that I feel need to stand out by using the print technique 'Selective colour' that I had learnt when I first began my photograph a level.
The aspects of landscape that I would like to photograph are scale, texture, movement, colour and reflection. These individual aspects won't be structured for each shoot the journey that I take may lead to any of these. My aim in this project is to take at least 10 shoots before my main exam. This is because then my exam will be a success as the amount of preparation that I have done will make sure that I know exactly what I am photographing in my exam and how each shoot I have done as lead to why I am doing the specific shoot I do for my exam. Lastly I would also like to use the technique video in my project this is because if I am using the aspect of movement using video will fit in very well at enhancing this aspect. An idea I have had is to use video in multiple imagery this is something that I haven't yet seen therefore I am creating something that is unique to me however influenced by photographers who have created still multiple imagery.
